Hey, all - I just discovered the world of nail art. I've done my own nails off and on for years, but just polish and the occasional sticker. My inspiration this week has come from a number of sources, mostly The Sparkle Queen (thanks for the positive and helpful comments!), Pinterest, Etsy, DeviantArt, and a lot of others I can't remember.

My "weather"-inspired mani is for FingerFood's weekly challenge. From pinky to index finger, they are snow, hail, rain, and fog. Following these, Spring comes (thumb). My index finger was supposed to be "lightening", but my Crackle polish didn't - now it's fog. This one mani will meet the criteria for The Sparkle Queen's weekly art, FingerFood's weather challenge this week, and GOT - the 3D items are new, but the polish is anything but.

The base color on the four fingers is Cover Girl 3 in 1 Quicksilver, and the thumb is NYC Long-Wearing Fuchsia Glamour. The doo-dads are from Sally Beauty Supply, Michael's, and Wal-Mart.

In addition to being a rank amateur nail artist (including the clean-up), the photography is equally lacking. However, while doing errands this afternoon, three different people told me they were cute! I'm now officially hooked.

I absolutely love them!!  I have been racking my brain trying to figure this week's challenge out. haha

    Thanks, Valerie!

I just Googled "weather-themed nail art" and picked several - I couldn't pick only one! I'm trying to upload it to The Sparkly Queen's weekly blog, too, but not sure just how yet.
