Sunset Gradient

Who doesn't love to watch a sunset? I know I do and I've been wanting to go on a nice vacation too. So I took a mini trip and made a gradient sunset with a few palm trees.

I started with a white base. I made a stripe of each of the sunset colors on a makeup wedge to do the gradient. Rolled the sponge on each nail and then dabbed a bit to blend it. I did 2 coats of the gradient to get a nice solid color and blend. I then put on a clear top coat over the gradient and it smoothed out the look of the sponged on polish.

The palm trees I made with a small nail art brush and brown acrylic paint.
TIP - Wait until your nails are completely dry before starting your nail art with acrylic paint. Alcohol will remove acrylic paint without ruining your base polish. So if you mess up just swipe a alcohol soaked cotton ball over your nail and start your art again.

Polishes used:
Sinful Colors Snow Me White
Sally Hansen Lightening
Wet N Wild Wet Cement
Sinful Colors Mardi Gras
